Kyudo in Romania started in 2008 when Romanian Kyudo Association was established. Six years later the Association became full member of European Kyudo Federation and since July 2014 it is member of International Kyudo Federation. Between 2008 and 2014, the members of Romanian Kyudo Association attended seminars and examinations under German Kyudo Federation umbrella, we are grateful for their help. The Association regularly organizes national seminars under supervision of international teachers and yearly organizes national competitions.
Currently, there are about 51 members in two regional groups in Bucharest and Timisoara city and there are perspectives to open new kyudo groups. Romanian Kyudo Association supports Romania’s team participation to European Taikai and World Taikai as well as the participation of its members to IKYF’s seminars and examinations.
All Romanian members are deeply grateful to ANKF, EKF and IKYF for helping through their teaching the kyudo development in Romania.
