The Kyudo Association of Canada was recognized in 2010 as member of the International Kyudo Federation, currently with over 70 members. Originally founded as a local organization in 2003 in Vancouver, it became a national organization in 2008 with the founding of the Toronto dojo. In 2013, the Victoria dojo was founded. The KAC sent its first formal delegation to the AKR/IKYF seminar in 2011. Lacking formal dojos, all three groups have come up with creative solutions for makiwara and kinteki practice. In addition to training, we do demonstrations at community events to promote Japanese culture and the practice of kyudo.
